The Toothpicks – Inspired by the fearlessness of heroes like Arctic Monkeys, the Beatles, Jeff Buckley, and the Strokes, The Toothpicks throw absolutely everything at the wall and make damn sure it sticks. Sardonic lyrics, delivered with singularly soulful intensity, dive headfirst into jaunty, infectious grooves, powered by incessantly creative dual guitar lines that tug at your heartstrings so hard they just might snap. It’s a blissful storm of sound that leaves you giddy, empowered and clamouring for more.
Sunday Sesh – In a sea of carbon copy indie rock bands, Sunday Sesh has refined their signature sound by creating music that bursts with confidence and just the right amount of arrogance. Originating from the Gold Coast of long-time friends Ethan Ridley, Cooper Young, Zenin Smith, and Marcos Robins who all share an intense amount of passion and drive for their creative vision. Living an unapologetically hedonistic lifestyle, the band reflects this to produce a naturally pleasing sound to captivate and seduce their audience. Their outrageous and raunchy lyrics pair perfectly with their harmonious rock sound to evoke emotion, power, and thrill within the listeners. Sunday Sesh harnesses a profound ability to create a boisterous, “head-banging” atmosphere that pulsates through crowds. After two and a half years of playing gigs, Sunday Sesh has found its footing and is playing gigs and making friends with idolised bands of theirs, such as The Terrys, Rum Jungle, South Summit, Dumb Punts, Drunk Mums and Mini Skirts. Building relationships and a network through the industry achieving gigs at multiple large festivals; Springtime, Homecoming (tiny Minds), and Dreamsound. They are seeing that their music is taking them to further and further venues and ears leaving new listeners craving for more.
