Live music with Mick Kidd!

Based in the Adelaide Hills, Mick has been part of the local scene for over 35 years, doing his own distinctive style of “Slidin’ Stompin” Acoustic Blues. Apart from being a hard worker, he’s got some serious credibility- as a multiple award winner in the “FOOM” (Festival of Original Music) competition held annually by S.C.A.L.A. (Songwriters, Composers & Lyricists Assoc.) – also being the lead guitarist for both the Adelaide & Darwin Symphony Orchestra’s ” Pink Floyd Tribute” events in 2008 & 2016 as well as multiple events with Floyd tribute act “Eclipse” (featuring the Southern Cross Symphony) from 2019 – 2022.

Mick has also teamed up with harmonica maestro David Blight on a semi-regular basis over the past 10 years, releasing 3 albums of original material with their latest offering entitled “It’s All Worth It” coinciding with their debut at one of the countries premier blues festivals, “Blues On Broadbeach” in May 2022.
Mick & David were also successful at the 2014 “South Australian Blues Awards”-winning both the “Outstanding Solo/Duo” as well as Mick with the ”Male Performer” categories. This has been followed up in 2015 winning the inaugural Adelaide Roots & Blues Assoc.- “Memphis Blues Challenge” ( solo/duo)-representing South Aust. on the world stage in Memphis U.S.A. in Jan. 2016- reaching the quarter finals after performing 3 nights at the iconic Jerry Lee Lewis “12 Bar” on Beale Street.
