There’s a quiet power in Jack Raymond’s voice — that rare mix of grit and warmth that makes you stop and listen. It’s the sound of gum leaves cracking underfoot, the hum of a night drive, the ache of home when you’ve been gone too long.
Born in The Victorian High Country, Jack grew up surrounded by mountains and stories and the roots run deep through his music. He calls it “Mountain Roots” — a blend of blues, folk and heart. Since his early days busking at the Australian Busking Championships, Jack’s carved his way onto festival stages across the country — from Woodford Folk Festival and Gympie Muster to Agnes Blues & Roots, Kiama Blues, Tamworth CMF and Wintermoon. He’s shared the bill with Joe Cameleri and the Black Sorrows,Kim Churchill, Hatz Fitz & Cara, Riley Pearce, Austin Mackay and Minnie Marks
When he plays live, it’s just him, a stomp box and a guitar — but the room feels full. His shows aren’t about polish; they’re about presence. You feel the dust, the laughter and the life behind every word.
