DESCRIPTION:Based in the Adelaide Hills\, Mick has been part of the local scene for over 35 years\, doing his own distinctive style of “Slidin’ Stompin” Acoustic Blues. Apart from being a hard worker\, he’s got some serious credibility- as a multiple award winner in the “FOOM” (Festival of Original Music) competition held annually by S.C.A.L.A. (Songwriters\, Composers & Lyricists Assoc.) – also being the lead guitarist for both the Adelaide & Darwin Symphony Orchestra’s ” Pink Floyd Tribute” events in 2008 & 2016 as well as multiple events with Floyd tribute act “Eclipse” (featuring the Southern Cross Symphony) from 2019 – 2022. \nMick has also teamed up with harmonica maestro David Blight on a semi-regular basis over the past 10 years\, releasing 3 albums of original material with their latest offering entitled “It’s All Worth It” coinciding with their debut at one of the countries premier blues festivals\, “Blues On Broadbeach” in May 2022.\nMick & David were also successful at the 2014 “South Australian Blues Awards”-winning both the “Outstanding Solo/Duo” as well as Mick with the ”Male Performer” categories. The boys have been playing together for 4 years incorporating various influences anywhere from bands like The Clash and Thin Lizzy to Aussie acts like Ocean Alley and The Delta Riggs. The boys have been fortunate enough to open for acts such as Lime Cordiale\, Ruby Fields\, The Vanns\, The Lazy Eyes\, Death By Denim\, Peach Fur\, Bootleg Rascal\, Rum Jungle\, Dear Sunday\, Dice and others. Also playing stages like Festival of the Sun\, Rolling Sets\, and Spaced Out Festival. A highlight of 2022\, two support tours with Lazy Ghost and NK’s first own regional tour.
