Old Mervs will See You Around Town in 2026
WA duo Old Mervs are keen to see you around town next year. From Toowoomba to Torquay, Dave and Henry will be stopping in to regional centres across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria in February and March, belting out tracks from their 2025-released self-titled debut album and old favourites. Supports will be announced soon!
Riding a wave of wins, Old Mervs are celebrating a massive 2025 after the success of their ARIA-Charting debut album release and sold-out tours across Australia, the United States, including Chicago’s Lollapalooza, the UK and Europe.
With a while between regional shows on the East Coast, Old Mervs are stoked to see you ’round town soon.
About Paint
Made up of four friends from Fremantle, Western Australia, Paint played their first show in a living room in 2021, fulfilling a pact between its members and setting the band into motion. They began to play local gigs and house parties more frequently and in 2023 after building a small local following, they released their debut EP ‘Bugs,’ a collection of shoegaze and slacker rock inspired songs that earned them extensive airplay on local radio RTRfm as well as support slots for touring acts such as Hockey Dad, Narrow Head, Fleshwater and Superchunk.
2024 saw the band pick up momentum and their sophomore EP, ‘Gift Shop’ was released. Written mostly on a week-long trip to Margaret River, this project explored a wider variety of influences and sonics, whilst still delivering the group’s signature brand of fuzzy pop that radiates blissful nostalgia and fun. ‘Gift Shop’ made waves in Australia, being the local feature release on RTRfm, listed in Rolling Stone Australia’s Best New Australian music and acclaimed by a number of Triple J presenters. It also gained international attention from The Line of Best Fit (UK) and was added to rotation on Seattle’s KEXP (USA). In February of 2025, ‘Gift Shop’ peaked at 10 in North American College and Community Radio Top 200 Chart.
In the back half of 2025 and in support of their recent double single “Forever and Always,” the band started playing interstate for the first time, touring with Armlock in NSW in August and supporting Fool Nelson on 10 dates all over Australia in October. Paint was also awarded Best Rock Act at the 2025 WAM Awards.
