Felipe Baldomir
Coastal Indie-Folk / Byron Bay, Australia (via Uruguay)
Felipe Baldomir is a coastal indie-folk singer-songwriter from Uruguay, now based in Byron Bay, Australia, whose uplifting live shows have earned him a global following. Drawing comparisons to Jack Johnson, Xavier Rudd, and Tash Sultana, Felipe blends open-tuned acoustic guitar, harmonica, loops, groovy riffs, punchy sax lines, and soulful vocals into an energetic and feel-good soundscape.
Since landing in Sydney in 2018 with a backpack and a dream, Felipe has transformed his life into one long road trip — converting a van into a rolling home and mobile studio, busking the streets, and steadily building a grassroots fanbase across Australia. He’s shared stages with the likes of Kim Churchill, Jack Botts, and The Dreggs, and played to packed crowds at festivals including NYE On The Hill, Queenscliff Music Festival, Changing Tides, and Ocean Sounds.
In recent years, Felipe’s journey has taken him well beyond Australian shores. From New Zealand to Europe, Canada, South Africa, and South America, he has played over 200 shows worldwide — headlining sold-out tours and performing at major international festivals like Cigale Festival (Canada), Tunes in the Dunes (UK), Splashy Fen (South Africa), and Surfana (The Netherlands).
In early 2024, he released his third album ‘Tides’ – a vibrant collection of songs that capture his trademark positivity, connection to nature, and free-spirited energy.
“All I want with these songs & stories is to make people feel good, uplift and inspire others to live a fulfilling life. This collection is just a lot of fun – especially live.” – Felipe Baldomir
