Captivating vocalist and singer-songwriter, Clare Cowley, from Allora Queensland, performs delicately woven ballads that summon the spirit of folk music. As a solo artist, her bluesy guitar, harmonica and smoky piano playing are performed in a variety of styles from playful ditties to haunting ballads at intimate venues in Meanjin/Brisbane and beyond.
Clare released her debut album ‘To The Bottom’ and crowdfunded a tour in 2020 upon launching her singles ‘Like The Muse’ and ‘Black Seeds’. The folky sing-along ‘Song Material’, released with Easy Machine Recordings in 2021, was followed swiftly by the brooding single ‘My Reason’ and catchy ‘Need a Cuddle’ in 2022. In collaboration with sound engineer, Dylan Jeffreys, Clare released her second album, Desire Notes in March this year. She is currently on tour with her latest work!
