The Appointments fuse Psychedelic-Indie Rock with Roots music. The quintet’s pulsating rhythms and syncopated percussion lines set The Appointments apart from their indie rock contemporaries, while their blend of 70’s and mid-2000s garage rock delivers a sound that is as nostalgic as it is new.
The Love brothers, Rhys (Vocals, Guitar) and Eli (Drums, Vocals) formed the band in 2018, to find a more authentic and rhythmically inspiring voice than their previous projects.
Since the band’s inception, Duncan Brown (Percussion, Keys), Kurt Speirs (Bass) and Aiden Liddle (Guitar) have joined the collective, bringing their unique influences to the band’s jam sessions that are carved into tracks.
Individually the band share a knack for discovering underground gems from all over the world, and the commitment to collaboration and musical discovery has seen the band continue to deliver electrifying live shows along the east coast of Australia.
The band’s world music influence and indie-rock foundations have been road-tested into a sound that is as hard to forget as it is to define, and often draw comparisons to Bob Marley and the Wailers, Sublime, The Police, Tame Impala & Ocean Alley.
