Oscar Eager’s trio explores some of the most well-known (and some of the lesser-known) jazz standards of the American Songbook in the search for a unique voice.
This voice is the product of each band member’s influences.
Oscar is a trumpet and piano player based in Bellingen who, having left the town to study jazz at the Sydney Conservatorium and perform with several jazz outfits, has come back to Bello to run his own trio and be part of many other projects.
Otis Narbutas is a drummer and sound engineer. Like Oscar, he gave his first steps in music at Bello High, to later go study a jazz degree in Melbourne.
Emiliano Beltzer is an Argentinean-born guitarist, bass player and educator. Based in the area since 2021, he is a regular in multiple bands across genres and a teacher at the Regional Conservatorium in Coffs Harbour.
